Las Vegas - Nevada                  February 5th - February 8th, 2019

Travel to Las Vegas with photographers Danny Howard & Denise Orlin. Danny and Denise have many years of experience teaching at Richard Stromberg’s Chicago Photography Classes as well as in commercial and fine art photography.

While in Las Vegas, we will capture the stunning landscapes and nature that surround the city. We will also go to the heart of Vegas and capture some of the quirkiness and oddities for which it is famous.

Las Vegas was settled in 1905, and at the end of the 20th century and was the most populated city in the US that was founded in that century. Curiously, the most populated city in the century before that was--Chicago.

Vegas is the largest city situated within the greater Mojave Desert area. We will stay on the outskirts of the city with easy access to our landscape locations and the city.

Photography techniques and styles on this trip will include; Long Exposure, ND filters, landscapes, astrophotography, sunrise, sunset, and street photography and much more!

Day 1

Arrive late in the afternoon/early evening. We will head downtown to shoot a very famous and iconic location. Afterward, a quick stop for dessert before heading to the hotel.

Day 2

Head to Lake Mead in the morning and maybe a quick peek at the Hoover Dam. After lunch, we will travel to the Valley of Fire for a sunset shoot and some astrophotography.

Day 3

Travel to the Mojave Desert to photograph the stunning beauty of this natural landscape. After a late lunch, we will head to some iconic Vegas sites to photograph neon signs and pinball machines.

Day 4

Early sunrise shoot near the hotel. When we are finished capturing some beautiful sunrise pictures, we will enjoy a well-deserved breakfast. After packing up our things, we will stop on the way back to the airport to capture a few last bits of history before flying home in the afternoon.
